80 schoolchildren from junior high schools in Międzybrodzie Bialskie and Międzybrodzie Żywieckie participated in the celebrations of the Water Day – PGE EO S.A. educational project for youth.

On October 7th 2011, students of junior high schools learnt about the operation of the unique, Poland only, underground pumped-storage power plant – Porąbka-Żar in Międzybrodzie Bialskie. They visited the underground facilities, which are not normally accessible, while experienced engineers and experts in eco-friendly energy told them about all aspects of their work.

After the Wind Day (Dzień Wiatru) in June, the Water Day is the second educational project for students of junior high schools run by PGE Energia Odnawialna S.A. As part of the Water Day celebrations, the participants had a chance to see for themselves the interior of a power plant and discover the possibilities offered by renewable energy sources.
